*Play le epic funky news Room Music (I will put it in soon, need to work out some blog Plug ins)*

Hello again everyone and welcome to the 10th episode of Weird Mind News Room, written, produced, researched and continuously talked on but wonder if anyone really reads these, by me. Now you know the breakdown, we look over the films, shows and games that have released this week, followed on by the trailers for upcoming titles and then some news and this one will be a lot shorter then last week as there is not too much news this week. But Anyway lets get to talking on what happened this week.

What is out this week to observe with your eyeballs.

Movies

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3

It is time to dust off the Walkman and get ready for the swan song with the galaxy's lovable protectors as James Gunn finally brings us the final part of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. In this new film, Peter Quill is still reeling over the loss of Gamora from Thanos, and he must rally the remaining Guardians including Drax, Mantis, Rocket, Groot and Nebula to protect the universe once again and save one of their own. It the mission is not completely successful, it could well be the end of the Guardians of the Galaxy as we know it. The first 2 films are some of the well beloved films from the entire MCU and was originally seen as a big risk but from great adventure, characters and an excellent soundtrack for both, which this one also has, I am sure that it will be another big hit once again (which seems to be an accurate outlook from the Critics and Audiences responses) and I will be checking this out very soon (and will review it in due time)

TV Shows

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton story

The release of this seems like convenient timing with what is goin on this weekend in the UK but for fans of the series of Bridgerton this will be something for you (I have seen the briefest of scenes for that show and not know much on it). For this series it will be about the marriage of Queen Charlotte to King George of England that will start a long story of love and a change to high society. I am sure that for those well inversed in the series will enjoy the 6 episode mini series and more to them I guess.

Video Games

Redfall

Now for the game of the week and one from a studio that is well liked from a studio that has some of the most well known game series with Arkane and Bethesda with Redfall. This new game sees you take on the role of someone from a group of humans on an island of the coast of Massechutes that has been overrun and become the hunting ground for an onslaught vampire army and it is your job to stop this curse and make sure these undead properly stay dead this time. Now this game has already been put on lists of the most disappointing or worst games of this year so far and from some of the footage I have seen from some users online, it is a bit rough. there is potential and hopefully they can fix it and I respect Xbox head Phil Spencer for taking the blame for it and hopefully it does improve but right now it is looking a fair bit messy.

Footage for your eyeballs to gaze at that will be coming out soon

Gran Turismo

Now for the first look at the next adaptation of a game franchise or series to be turned into a film or a show and that is with the racing game of Gran Turismo. This is based on a true story about a gamer who has a passion and love for the racing series and soon finds himself entered into a competition where he may get his chance to race in the real world tracks with some real professional racers to see if it has what it takes to go from playing against the computer to racing against the best of the best. Now when I heard that this was getting a release into a film adaptation I was very confused as this series would not have any particular characters or story to go off of, unless it was a compilation of some of the nicest looking cars in the industry, but after watching the trailer, I think that the film looks pretty decent and the likes of working in that it is simply just a game in the real world and more of a true story angle helps make it feel more personal and I will give it a watch when it comes out in August

Dune Part 2

2 years ago in late 2021, visionary director Denis Villeneuve followed up his Alien sci-fi Arrival and the sequel to 80s classic Blade Runner 2049 with the release of Dune, an adaptation based on one of the most popular Sci-fi Fiction Novels of all time from Frank Herbert and with its faithful adaptation and absolutely beautiful visuals and cinematography, it brought with it plenty of Award recognition and now we have the first look at the 2nd part to this story. Where we last left the story Paul Atreides has united with Chani and the Fremen and is now off to seek revenge against the conspirators who destroyed most of his family. But he must face a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the universe, he must find a way to prevent a terrible future that only he can forsee. I remember watching the original and need to get around to finish reading the book but I will get a refresher on it before I give this a watch in November.

It's always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 16
Now for some form of comedy, we are taking a trip to Philadelphia to catch with the gang of Paddy's Pub for the newest season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and if it is anything like the previous season of the show from something simple turning into a much bigger mess then it needs to be then we know who is responsible and how badly they can mess this up. I for one have been going through the show again for the last month and I will check this out when it drops in early June.

Now for the News for possible future viewing with your eyeballs

You need to remember the 5 D's of Dodgeball again

The first piece is actually one that I forgot to talk about from last week and that was the announcement that we are getting a sequel to the 2004 comedy film of Dodgeball which was the rivalry between small time Gym Average Joes going against the big fancy globogym in a game of professional dodgeball to see who gets to keep their Gym and make it the best there is. Now it has been confirmed that one of the stars from the original, Vince Vaughn will be returning for this sequel and is now unknown if Ben Stiller and any other cast will be back for this film but I am sure that we will learn some more of the new film overtime and until then we need to learn the 5 d's of dodgeball which was Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and..... Dodge.

It's time for a Strike

Now the biggest news for media this week has been the continuous ongoing writers strike that has been happening since Tuesday which has spawned from the poor payment and excessive amount of different shows and content they need to produce for films, shows and other forms of media that needs to be written and with more and more being added from normal cable tv, streaming and everything under the sun the demand is higher and they are not being paid well enough in the outcome. The last time that their was a strike like this was back about 15 years ago in 2008 but this has been heightened with the increase in the amount of content needed to be written for (there was 599 scripted shows alone in 2022 needed to be written for) and has seen the delaying on some upcoming known titles such as Stranger things, Marvel films like Blade and Fantastic Four and even some of the late night talk shows such as Jimmy Fallon's Tonight show. It is unclear how long this strike will go on for and will be keeping updated with every weekly update with any new news or outcome.

On my side of things and my opinion of it is that I am personally on the side of the writers as it really does seem super unfair that these people spend countless hours every day to write more and more engaging content for so many movies, tv shows and even video games and having to deal with all of that and excessive rewrites and new drafts and then you are being paid in small amounts of money, way less then expected is just a slap in the face to so many that spend their time and effort to try and make it the best they can and when the reviews come out for stuff to say that some things are bad cause of the writing that there is one form of reason to it feeling bad and hopefully some proper well respected agreement should be made that if the workload increases, so should the pay out and be given their demands and it could see a better increased improvement in writing for many scripted media. But I would love to know what you think of the whole ordeal in the comments and we could start a discussion if it does.

We going to be travelling across the Spider-verse for a good bit of time
Now for the next story we take a swing over to the upcoming and highly anticipated spider-man sequel Across the Spider-verse and we have some news concerning the official runtime for the sequel. It has been confirmed that the runtime for this film will be clocking in at 2 Hours and 20 Minutes making it the longest western animated movie, overtaking the previous title holder for the animated Lord of the Rings from 1978 that clocked in at 2 hours and 12 minutes. Now there is some debate on the length of the film with some films being critiqued for being too long and some for being too short and this comes with animation as most animated films tend to be be an average of 100 minutes and most is just under 2 hours, but personally for the film that it is and to better show off the 6 different animation styles as well as the 240 different spider-people in the film, I for one am all for this long runtime and wonder if the follow up of beyond the spider-verse will be even longer when it releases next March but I would like to know your thoughts if this is a justified length or if it should be shorter or longer or how long you want it to be or if you are excited for it as well.

We had a trailer in the back, a horror one, someone leaked it

For the final news story this week (yes really not a lot this week) there has been a bit of a big leak that happened just in the last 48 hours as the first trailer for the upcoming Five Night's at Freddy's movie was leaked online by an unknown source on Twitter. While it is interesting to see how it looks, I am not going to post the trailer here until a proper full clearer version is released in due time in case I get some form of copyright claim for posting the leaked version of the trailer, but if you want to see it there is probably many version on Youtube or Twitter if they had not already been taken down. I am curious to see how this all plays out and want to know if any of you are excited to check out this film or may pass on it but once the trailer properly drops I will be talkin on it when it does.

And with that we come to the end of another episode of the weird Mind news room and I do hope that you have enjoyed reading it and one that is more shorter then the previous one (but probably still a little lengthy all the same besides the imagery and video). I would love to hear what you thought of some of the content, trailers or releases discussed here in the comments below and get some more engagement and discourse going on stuff or if you have any stories I missed or anything to improve some of the content on the channel do let me know. But for now I hope you all stay being wonderful people and good night and good news

Signing Off
