Anticipated Media 2025: Media madness

Well it is about that time of year again, ladies and gents as for the 3rd year on this blog, it is time we take a look ahead into the future over these 12 months as we are looking into the realm of the entertainment industry to see all about what we can expect from the world of film television and video games (which will include at least one extra edition of some tech in there for one new piece for the future). Now a few little disclaimer elements is that it may not be everything as some will appeal to me over others and some as well will vary in the likes of the release dates for some content that may get a release date in the US or abroad but may have an unknown release date where I am from so if its a case I may skip some and they appear in release TBD after each section then you will understand why. Also as I mentioned I am not listing everything that comes out as I will be here until next year talking on them and may go more into depth on them in the weekly series of Weird Mind when they do release and leaving out the likes of live events, music and books as that's a whole mess on its own. But anyways with this out of the way lets delve into looking at the contents of the Media of 2025 and see what we may be finding appealing, uninteresting or a possible surprise success or disaster, but lets get started.

Roll the camera's, it is movie time

So let it all begin in the area that has a lot of focus and has at least a lot of time to have release dates available for most of these movies with a few that come down the line in getting the official release date eventually (mostly in the likes of ones that go straight to streaming mostly) but there is a lot to focus on and give a little quick thoughts on with shortened summaries or ideas of what to expect for them. A few of these will be breezed past as they have released already as of writing, but we will give some look to them all in due time so lets get to chatting.

January

Nosferatu (Jan 1st)
In the basis we start off the year with a strong one and one of an iconic figure of horror with the newest Robert Eggers feature as he delivers his passion project of Nosferatu with a new take that brings more of a horror mixed with a sense of unrequited passion that is going to bring a new take on a familiar face of literature and from the reception it is sounding just like that and it is probably my most anticipated film of January overall and look forward to be consumed by the darkness.

We Live in Time (Jan 1st)
Then from a film of Horror of unrequited passion to one that will come together in unexpected ways is a new love story of We Live In Time with 2 iconic faces taking the approach of that narrative of meeting in an odd way and building to something special and told out of order to create something that has brought appeal, emotion and heart and may be something to watch as a feel good film that may not be afraid to make you feel emotions.

Baby Girl (Jan 10th)
Noticeably the first 3 are all a focus of something involving a form of romance but this one is more of a steamy affair as we have the new Nicole Kidman led Baby girl that is all about a CEO risking a life and career for a new relationship with a younger colleague that the only thing I ever hear about this film was that Kidman could not stop orgasming from all the love scenes and had to stop to calm it all down which I mean go off as anyone should experience that sense of pleasure but also that Intimacy Coordinator really worked their craft well. I've heard some good stuff to it as well so maybe I'll watch down the line.

A Real Pain (Jan 10th)
Now on one that moves away from romance and more on the likes of family conflicts and past issues is the newest film directed by Jesse Eisenberg of A real pain that sees him and Kieran Culkin reunite as estranged family members on a trip to Poland to honor their late grandma that has a lot of humour, heart and provide a lot of insight about ones own person and family and may be worth a check out if something like that appeals to your interests.

A Complete Unknown (Jan 17th)
Now for the first of the biopics that will be hitting the big screen technically came out at the end of last year in America but this only comes out in Jan and that is the Biopic on Bob Dylan with a Complete Unknown that will tell the era of when he caused some controversy in the music industry of the change in music genre of blending of tones but has made it something that has changed Music since then and with some modest reception and a great acclaim to Mr Chalamet, it may be worth checking otu if you are a fan or know very little (like me).

Wolf Man (Jan 17th)
We have another iconic movie monster making an appearance in January as the director of the invisible Man is bringing his new take of The Wolf Man that will have a family return to the fathers past home and in the process becomes injured from a powerful being and may not be safe in the house or outside. And while I have not heard the most critically acclaimed of reception to this, the likes of the filming techniques of the wolf man and some of the performances help to elevate it that little bit more so who knows if the likes of some horrors will have a more positive reception this year then the last but I guess we will find out.

Flight Risk (Jan 24th)
Now for the concept of something with a bit more of some action or a thriller that is coming to us from director Mel Gibson that brings a sense of tension high above in the sky with the film of flight risk that sees a US Marshal escorting a government witness to New York but everyone on the flight may not be who they say they are and things may get real messy. In most regards with Gibson that while his opinions and past contrivances are a thing, he can make and direct some really decent films (Hacksaw Ridge and Braveheart are 2 great films) and I hope that this will be another one that will have some appeal and be an entertaining action thriller but we will see how this comes about when the film does release.

The Brutalist (Jan 24th)
Now on the film that has the potential of being a big award season film is the new period piece drama of Brutalist of a Jewish man coming to America after WW2 and trying to find the concept of The American Dream where they will find some hope from being hired by a wealthy industrialist and even with a 3 and a half hour runtime it is something that feels like it works with that runtime and am intrigued to see how it will do during the award season as it seems like it is well worth a watch

Saturday Night (Jan 31st)
As for the likes of another film that released back last year but only getting the cinema release now is with the film that tells the story of the first ever live show of Saturday Night (or SNL as it is now) where everything was going against the project and through conflict, drama and even a fire or 2 they will make it work to become a big success story that is going on its 50th year this year and I have heard a lot of good things about the film so I may give this a watch when it is out at the end of the month.

Companion (Jan 31st)
And the last for January in terms of films is one that gives a case of some AI getting out of hand with the new film of Companion that will see a subservient android going a little bit haywire and causing violence and bloodshed all for the love of a human creator. The way it is marketed is weird as the posters before the final one does not give off the vibe of that or some clips from footage doesn't either but it may be something that will give a better picture from the full film but I guess we can see when it releases at the end of Jan if its all worth it or not.

Feb

September 5th (Feb 6th)
Now kicking off the month of Feb with a film that may be a little topical in this day and age but we have a new true story based film known as September 5th that was about the coverage of the hostage situation at the 1972 Berlin Olympics and how things may be a make or break in those to survive. While those that are fighting each other currently are the focus of the conflict of this film, it may be the one that could be a discussion of topic, especially from the decently well recieved reception and may be worth a watch when this comes out.

Dog Man (Feb 7th)
Its taking this long and now we have the first of some of the animated films of this year and we have the first of a new take of an adaptation from Dreamworks that is the series from the creator of a hero that focused on toilet humor with the film of Dogman of a Dogs head being attached to a Man's body and fighting crime and stopping an evil Cat. While I have not delved into this series besides the original series beforehand, I really like the style of animation and look to it and may give a look to the film at some point in time and hopefully another strong year for Animation like last year.

Witcher Sirens of the deep (Feb 11th)
Heading to one of the many streaming services, we have the first to come from Netflix and it is seeing the mythical creature hunter of Geralt back with a new animated film on the Witcher with Sirens of the Deep that will also see the original games voice actor for Geralt back in the role and if it will appeal more in animated then live action then I am all for it. Probably not the only mention of Witcher in this piece but we will see.

Bridget Jones Mad About the Boy (Feb 13th)
Its time to get the diary out one last time as the beloved character of Bridget Jones is back for a 4th and final film of Mad about the boy that will see her try and find love as a single widowed mom and coming to terms with 2 new men that come into her life. It will most case be a real good chick flick or date movie for Valentines or Galentines day but there will be appeal for many so who knows.

Captain America Brave New World (Feb 14th)
We had romcoms, animations and some award season films, so now it is time we delve into the realm of the yearly release of Superheroes as we start with Marvel Studios bringing a new take of the Star Spangled Man with a plan with Sam Wilson weilding the Shield for his first solo film with Brave new World that will consist of action, government conspiracies, flying high and even a much angrier Hulk in there too and I hope this will turn out good and be like the Winter soldier in its appeal (been hearing a little mixed appeal from test screenings but sometime they make things much more unappealing a lot of the time) but I am looking forward to it and will be worth a watch after a bit of time for love to focus on some action.

Memoir of a Snail (Feb 14th)
Now for a film that is more in the niche animated world but has peaked my interest from its award nominations and look with Memoir of a Snail of a little shy child that appeal with collecting snails will learn to find confidence within themselves and from its look of stop motion and having a story that could relate to many in some unique ways, it will be interesting to check out when it drops in Mid February.

The Gorge (Feb 14th)
Next up from the realm of the streamers is coming to us from Apple TV of  a new film known as the Gorge that tells the story of two high trained operatives (Miles Teller and Anya Taylor Joy) who are tasked with guarding towers on oppesite sides of each other to observe and protect the world from some dangerous evil and going off the likes of Apple is that it will be some big expenses and may have some appeal and hopefully it will bring appeal after a mixed opinion from last years projects and it looks like it could be some interesting romantic thriller maybe but we shall see when it drops in Mid Feb.

The Monkey (Feb 21st)
We have another horror and this is taking a story from the master of Horror storytelling, producer of nearly every horror and written and directed by the guy who gave one of the best marketed and well recieved horrors of last year with his take on the story of the Monkey that I have not much of an idea of what is going on with it involving one of those creepy monkey toys but everything is on fire or cursed or a lot of bloodshed that it is hard to tell if it will make any sense or be all over the place but we will see how it comes about in due time.

The Last Showgirl (Feb 28th)
We then have a tale of life and future for a career of a professional when it all comes to a conclusion with the newest film of the last showgirl which has Pamela Anderson trying to come to terms of her career and future when her show comes to an end after a 30 year run and I have heard a lot of very well recieved reception to the film and has been hitting the award circuit too and may be worth to give a perspective on many peoples lives when it drops at the end of Feb.

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie (Feb 28th)
The last film of this month for the time being is with a new big screen outing for some iconic characters of animation finally getting a release after being overlooked by their parent company as Daffy Duck and Porky Pig are on a world rescusing mission in the Day the Earth blew up of stopping Aliens from using a plot involving a lot of bubblegum and hearing a lot of great praise will be something I look forward to see in the next few months and see a return of some other films from these characters including a certain courtroom comedy (Release Coyote vs ACME Warner).

March

Mickey 17 (March 7th)
Now we are getting a little more sci-fi and after an extensive delay, Bong Joon Ho's new film adaptation of Mickey 17 is finally dropping in early March of a man signing up to be an expendable on a dangerous mission to explore a planet for new life that every time they die they are cloned to continue the mission and it is an interesting concept and hopefully will get the love and appeal for this film (and also the director can release his film as he envisioned and not affected from any studio interference) and will be worth a read of the original book it is all based on too.

Novocaine (March 14th)
Now from the company of Paramount that I am not sure if its a direct to steaming or cinema release (I think its more the latter) as we have the new action film of Novocaine that follows a bank executive that has an inability to pain who goes to rescue his co-worker and Girlfriend after she is stolen from Bank Robbers and the idea of someone that will take so much damage and not feel anything is an interesting idea and may be worth checking out to see how they bring it all together in the end as the concept sounds interesting on its own.

The Electric State (March 14th)
Going back to Netflix for another big film project as we have the newest entry from the Russo Borthers of the adaptation of The Electric state of a girl going on a quest with a robot (a creature that has been outlawed and ostracized from an uprising in an alt 90s world) to find her lost sibling and will be interesting to see this world that becomes established in this world. While I feel the choice of cast in the film has been overused in too many projects as of late, I hope that it will work out well in the final product but I guess it will all come about in Mid March.

Snow White (Live Action)(March 21st)
Now we have the film that will be the most debated and controversial for this year and that is the first of the live action remakes from the studio of Disney as they do an all new take on the film that started it all for them with Snow White that will tell the story of the princess who escapes from the evil queen and becomes acquainted with Seven Dwarfs in the woods that will protect her from the monarch and has a new form of the title character taking a control of her life and for the people. To say it has a lot of debate online from issues of using CG over small actors, the casting of the lead and villain and just messing with the original film and changing it from all of those mentioned discussions from the main lead, this could be a recipe for disaster or a surprise success with something that ay have been blown out of proportion but I guess we will see this all come about in late March.

Flow (March 21st)
The last of the animated films for a little bit of time is taking a new approach of storytelling with a new silent film of animation in the form of Flow of a journey of a cat and other animals across a world lost in time to a great flood that is supposed to be beautifully animated, deep story with no dialogue and has been another competitor for the award season animated films and I will be checking this out when it releases in late March.

Magazine Dreams (March 21st)
The last of the films for March is one that was initially planned for last year that was affected from the outcome of a recent court trial at the end of 2023 which is the film of Magazine dreams starring Johnathon Majors of a professional boxer looking to make a name in the industry while caring for his ailing Grandfather that had the potential of an award season film and garnering some well recieved reception though it will be seen if the appeal will come from the main lead after the whole court ordeal but I guess time will tell.

April

A Minecraft Movie (April 4th)
Now we head into April and the Pring summer films and we start with the movie that has had the most discussion since its first trailer release which was in the form of the upcoming live action Minecraft movie of humans getting trapped in the overworld and meeting another survivor named Steve to go on a quest to save that world and get back home. Initially I was a little on the fence about the whole film but it has slowly grown on me a bit more and to be honest it doesn't look too bad and may have some enjoyable aspects, especially with the work that went into the production of the whole project making everything cubed shaped like the game and may be worth a watch around the Easter season.

The Amatuer (April 11th)
Next on the list is an action movie thriller with some big named stars in the lead roles with the film of The Amatuer of a government agency decoder taking some vengeance into his own hands to hunt down a group of terrorists who killed his wife and will not stop until they are all killed. Its the kind of one that you will see a lot every few years but they can be surprisingly entertaining but we will see how that comes about come April for this one.

Sinners (April 18th)
Now the return of a Director and Actor that have worked together in 2 different franchises before as Ryan Coogler and Michael B Jordan bring the film of Sinner of 2 brother returning to their childhood homestead and must deal with a dangerous curse involving I believe Vampires that has cursed the town. It has an interesting idea and the tone and feel is giving off some strong appeal and hopefully will be a 3 for 3 for this director and actor teamup but we will see come late April.

Until Dawn (April 25th)
Minecraft is not the only game adaptation in April as we have also confirmed to be getting the film adaptation of the 2015 Sony title of Until Dawn that will be a lot different in the location, plot and characters that fit more for a Dark Pictures film but honestly after seeing the footage I can give it that little more of an appeal to the whole project but I am sure we will see how it goes about in due time and maybe it could turn out a lot scarier then expected.

The Accountant 2 (April 25th)
This last one is a surprising one and one that feels like a concept and not fully made but supposedly there is a planned sequel to the Ben Affleck film of The Accountant but I have not heard much on this one in general but it seemed to have been filmed and ready to go so maybe it could be a worthwhile watch like the first movie but who knows at this point.

May

Thunderbolts* (May 2nd)
Now a return to another new entry from the Superhero realm for this year as we return again to Marvel with their new take on what would be a Marvel version of Suicide Squad with Thunderbolts* that will have some familiar faces and villains from previous MCU films teaming up for jobs for the Government that may get them killed in the process but the footage and film gives a bit of a winter soldier, buddy roadtrip kind of film and so far it is appealing to me and maybe it will work well and we can see how it does when it comes out in early May.

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning (May 21st)
The next film should you choose to accept it, is bringing the mission to a hopefully epic conclusion as we have now gotten the supposed final entry of the Mission Impossible series with the Final Reckoning that will follow on from the last film with Ethan Hawke finding the remaining key and taking down the powerful new weapon of the Entity before it falls into the wrong hands. Going with every film there is always a big stunt or set piece and plenty of action and I am intrigued to see how this one will come to an end or if this is the final one as there is always going to be more in some way but we will see when it comes to its release.

Lilo and Stitch (May 23rd)
Now we will have the 2nd confirmed Live action film from Disney for this year and it is going to be focused on more small, blue and Fluffy as we are getting the live action take on Lilo and Stitch in late may that will most case tell the story of a little girl from Hawaii getting a new pet that turns out to be some dangerous alien experiment on the run from an intergalactic regime and help it to learn its ways and find a family in the process too. Most case I know there was some issues with development from a set fire, to recasting on one or 2 instances but it seems to be turning around well and its also being directed by the filmmaker that gave us Marcel the Shell with Shoes on (a wonderfully wholesome little film that is overlooked) so it may be something worth a check out and may be one that appeals to the masses overall.

Karate Kid Legends (May 30th)
The last of the releases from May is seeing a return of a franchise to the big screen after it has been making moves in the TV and Internet scene as we have the newest take on the Karate Kid series that sees characters from both the original films and the remake from 2010 coming together to train a new prodigy in method of old and new and while I may not have the biggest of fans to that series but it could end up being some thing I can grow to appeal and give a watch and learn something along the way but we will see come the release in Late May.

June

Ballerina: from the World of John Wick (June 6th)
We head deep into the summer months as we start June off with a bang and a return to the world established from the John Wick films with the first film spin off of ballerina that will take place in between 3 and 4 and see Ana De Armas become part of this world of crime in order for her to exact revenge against those that killer her family and may get some help and assistance from the Baba Yaga himself and given with all the other Wick films being awesome and improving with every film, I can see this being a big success and I cannot wait to see this and see it with someone very special to me when it drops in Early June.

Elio (June 13th)
Now a return to some animation and we are taking a cosmic trip with Pixar for their new film of Elio of a small kid with a love for aliens getting abducted by said species and being mistaken for the ambassador of Earth and must keep up the lie in order for his planet not to be destroyed. It has a unique idea, the visuals so far from what I have seen look great and hopefully it will be a fun cosmic adventure that also has a lot of heart that a lot of these Pixar films tend to have and I look forward to a cosmic adventure in the summer of this year.

How to train your Dragon (Live Action)(June 13th)
Now you think this next one would be one from Disney itself but in reality this is coming from their rebellious competition as we are getting a live action remake of the Dreamworks film of How to Train your Dragon that will retell the story of the first film of the son of a Viking chief who captures a very rare dragon that normally torments their home and soon befriend the creature and changes the history of Vikings and Dragons forever. I hope its a case this is a one off thing as the likes of seeing them try and do all of these Dreamworks films in live action will be a bit unsettling and this is one that I feel will work as best as possible in Live action but I do think this will do well and be worth a watch in Imax for the flying scenes alone (like the original was) but we will see come mid June.

28 Years Later (June 20th)
Now we return to a series that has been long in development for a new entry with the last one being nearly 20 years ago as we have the return of the Alex garland and Danny Boyle zombie series with 28 Years Later that will see the inhabitants of the UK rage virus evolving to survive as the virus continues and showing that things may have evolved since it first started and off of the excellent first trailer it looks like it will be another big hit on their hands and hopefully it will rise instead of staying dead and buried.

Megan 2.0 (June 27th)
We are doing another week of horror releasing with this month of films and its a return of a creepy AI doll with the sequel to M3gan on the release. I only recently watched the first one about a month or 2 ago and it was a decent film and I am interested to see how this one will follow up that plot but hopefully it will turn out good and not a mess but we will see how it comes about.

F1 (June 27th)
The last of the films for the month of June is about the kick up the speed and things will be intense behind the wheel as the director of the recent Top Gun sequel is going from the skies to the Speedways as we have a film focused on F1 with Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes a former F1 driver looking to get back into the action and compete in the biggest sport championship. I feel there will be some flair and prowess that comes from this and if its like Top Gun Maverick then it may be worth a watch (and hopefully worth the 300 million in budget).

July

Jurassic World Rebirth (July 2nd)
Now onto the films of July and this one is going back to the parks again as we have the newest film in the Jurassic World series with Rebirth that will be a presumably new trilogy, an all new cast and maybe some more new dinos that many may appeal to but will see if there is life left in this series given the last 2 films are a bit more mixed (I liked them a fair amount but they have their issues) or if this series should have gone extinct.

Untitled Trey Parker film (July 4th)
Now for something that is a little different in this form as we have a new project that is in the works to be coming out in early July that is being made by South Park Creators of Trey Parker and Matt Stone and the musician of Kendrick Lamar which gives me an idea that it could be something of a musical but it is hard to say may come from it but here is to guess what it could be. Overall I will keep an eye on this one with interest and see what the outcome of the project may be.

Superman (July 11th)
Its finally time to talk on DC and see the film that will start the film side of the DCU as we will see their new form of Superman that will see David Corenswet play the man of steel in a world that has him already established, other heroes exist and gives the sense that it is a bit more bright and hopeful and fits more of the tone the Superman is known for in the comics (which I know that will piss off a lot of continued Snyder verse fans) but the trailer gives me that sense of hope and will be looking forward to seeing it in July.

The Smurfs (July 18th)
We have another animated film in the summer and in the span of about 10 - 15 years now we have experienced this being a 4th attempt of a Smurfs movie but this time it is coming to us from Paramount instead with quite an array of names attached to the film including Rhianna as Smurfette and other names like Nick Offerman, John Goodman, Nick Kroll and many others and has been dubbed as a musical so how this will work itself out is anyones guess but we will see come July on this projects outcome.

Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 25th)
For the last of the Marvel films of the year is bringing us the first family of this comic line as after a very long wait, we are finally getting the MCU take on the Fantastic Four that is set to be in an alternate timeline 60s, them working more as a team and going against figures like Galactus and a female silver surfer and maybe even an appearance from a certain Doctor Doom, but I am intruiged to see how this will come about after seeing some set photos and aspects from recent events and I am sure we will see some footage by the end of the month or by the big football game of Superbowl but I will wait with interest.

August

The Bad Guys 2 (Aug 1st)
We start off the end of the summer and start of the fall with a return to a film that the first was a surprise hit and success and that is with a sequel to the Bad Guys that will see them being tasked with one more job with an all female group of thieves and if it is as entertaining as the first and going off the endless series of the books then I am sure there will be some more interesting new adventures to come from this series in the future.

The Naked Gun Remake (Aug 1st)
A revival of a beloved comedy film from the 80s or 90s seems like a bit of a risk especially when that revival is a new take on the Naked Gun films with the lead being played by Liam Neeson that the likes of some of this goofy antics and slapstick could work but will depend on peoples threshold for comedy, though the production team and director being a member of the comedy band of Lonely Island may help it that little more, the real debate of appeal will come from the first trailer or footage be released before we can really make much judgements on this film in particular.

Freakier Friday (Aug 8th)
on the basis of a long rumoured return, after a 22 year gap, there is a planned sequel coming out this year of the Disney version of Freaky Friday that had Linsday Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in the title roles and I am not fully sure how much hijinks will occours from this new take of the body swap narrative but I am sure we will learn about the overall narrative by the time comes out in August.

Nobody 2 (Aug 15th)
The last one I can see for the month of August is with a film that initially came out of nowhere around 4 years ago and was the first of 2 films that I actually fainted in a movie theatre from (mainly to do with the end of the scene of the fight on the bus) and that is with the sequel of Nobody with Bob Odenkirk back again for another everyman John Wick style film that I am sure will hopefully be another surprise hit when it releases later in the year.

September

The Conjuring Last Rites (Sept 5th)
We then head into September with the film that is being seen as the final entry of this horror series as we have the 4th film of the main Conjuring series on the way with Last Rites that at the moment is unknown as to what case this one may be alluding to but some online are speculating it is with the case of the Snedeker family haunting that involved the location of a Funeral home, but as of the moment we have no idea on what it may be but I am sure we will get an answer by its release at the beginning of September.

Him (Sept 19th)
While we have to wait another year before we see the return of comedian turned director of Jordan Peele with his mysterious 4th film, he is back in a producer role for the new sports based horror of Him that will see Marlon Wayans of an upcoming athlete training with a legend that is on the verge of retiring which could have some concepts for many a form of horror but it will be interesting to see how it comes together by the middle of September and beginning of Fall.

The Bride (Sept 26th)
Now we have the 3rd of the movie monster films for this year and the first of 2 films about the man made monster but we have a date for one and that is with Maggie Gyllenhaal's film of the Bride that will focus on the ideals of reborn love, radical social change and some strange creations that could be interesting to see which one will appeal more in the man made monster movies but maybe both will be just as acclaimed as the other. Only time will tell.

Saw XI (Sept 26th)
And we are playing a game for the last release of September as after the surprise praise and revival of the series with the 10th entry of the series, we have the planned 11th entry of Saw on the way that will see Jigsaw and John Kramer create more sinister death traps to murder more people for fun and whether this will be set after 10 or set before or after another film in the series is unclear as of the moment but I am sure they will follow up on it in due time once the games are ready to begin.

October
Michael (Oct 3rd)
Presumably the last of the biopic films to come out of this year is ending with a big one and a face that is probably more recognizable and that is with the film focus on the King of Pop with Michael Jackson that will most case cover his rise to fame and success of his early days or may span the whole career from legal troubles, later success and his untimely demise but I guess we will find out how his nephew will do as the iconic musician in due time when it hits the big screen come October.

Tron: Ares (Oct 10th)
We will soon enter into the system once again as after a lot of speculation and wonder we have a 3rd film in the Tron series coming out this year that will see one of the programs from that universe enter into the real world and there could be plenty of opportunities that could come from this project form (even if the lead is Jared Leto and may go a little too overly meta in the acting) but we can see when it drops in the middle of the fall season of October.

The Black Phone 2 (Oct 17th)
Surprisingly the only horror title to be releasing in October and one that I question how this story will work is from the planned sequel to the Black Phone that will see the return of the Snatcher that many could question how this will work out who have seen the original and how it ended. Maybe there will be some explanation to it all but I am sure we will get more context by the time the film releases in time for Halloween.

Mortal Kombat 2 (Oct 24th)
And the last of October will see to test your might for a new take and follow up to the more violent form of Mortal Kombat with its sequel that will see more returning faces and new challengers enter the scene including Karl Urban playing Johnny Cage and I am sure its going bigger, better and more violent then the last but we can see when that fight begins come late October.

November

Predator: Badlands (Nov 7th)
Heading into the Winter months will see a new realm for the ultimate hunter take his form as we have the first of 2 planned films based on the Predator with the first one of Badlands set in the future that could be our own future or the future from the well loved Prey film but either way the interest in the series has been revived and I am interested to see how this will come about.

Now you see me 3 (Nov 14th)
Looking for a trick of the hand and maybe some big form magic, well thankfully that may be covered as we are getting the 3rd film in the now you see me series coming out this year that I am sure will see these magicians use their magical skills to do more big elaborate heists and jobs that may look cool but will see how they up the stakes in this new film out later in the year.

Wicked: For Good (Nov 21st)
A film that 1. I am conflicted a little on the first viewing of and 2. something I feel I have seen already from the endless BTS posts on the main actresses social medias but we will see the 2nd half of the Wicked Adaptation which is essentially just the original Wizard of OZ film from the witches perspective and where most say with the original stage play that tends to be the weaker half. But who knows, maybe it will be as appealing as the first half to many and maybe I could like this part better then the first (I will get to the first part and review it eventually and I'll give my thought on it as someone who has not seen the broadway show yet)

Running Man Remake(Nov 21st)
Then we have a director that as of every time they release a new film I get excited to see his take and style on the project and this is coming in the form of Edgar Wright's take and remake to the 90s classic of the Running Man as I feel a new take with a big budget and his unique style will bring something cool to the whole project and I am interested to see what will appeal to fans of the original while also adding some fun new takes to love this one too, but we can see overtime as the film releases in late November.

Zootopia 2 (Nov 26th)
Now we have something that is a tradition of this time of year now and that is with the annual Disney Animated film and this is with another sequel to a beloved film from the last decade and that is with a new film based on Zootopia that sees the return of the internet and furry's favourite pair of Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps are on a new case in the swamp marshes to solve a case that may involve some more reptilian adversaries and I am interested to see more of this world be expanded and am interested in checking this one when it does come along this thanksgiving.

December

Five Nights At Freddy's 2 (December 5th)
And we come now to the festive month of December and we ask this question at the start of the month which is are you ready for Freddy again? As the Fnaf movie sequel is starting off the release of that month which looks to be introducing the toy animatronics from the original 2nd game in the series and I am sure the familiar faces and the face of that internet meme will be back again cause as afton says "I always come back".

Avatar Fire and Ash (Dec 19th)
Then surprisingly something that we were expecting another 10 year gap before we see a release of this but we have the next film of the Avatar series hitting the big screen in IMAX 3D with the Fire and Ash film that is going to introduce the Fire Navi and see the main leads obtain the elements of the planet and become the true Avatar that is questioning if they are getting the wires crossed with another series but I am sure it will be a massive spectacle and the real question I wonder is how long this film will be if the cut he had at the time of Way of water's release was 9 hours.... so maybe an intermission is probably needed but we will see come Christmas.

Spongebob Squarepants Movie: Search for Squarepants (Dec 19th)
But if the weird Blue Alien does not appeal to you then I offer a counter solution.... tickets to a new Spongebob movie as a 4th cinema release film will be hitting the same day as Avatar and will see the sea sponge go up against the Flying Dutchman from the plot sypnosis and while I think it will be passable (and the 2nd film for Spongebob this year after a Netflix released one on Plankton that leaked online about 5 months ago) I hope it will be better then that really bad Sandy Cheeks one from last year.

Anaconda Remake (Dec 25th)
And the last film with a release date will probably won't want none unless you got buns hun as they are releasing a new take on the 90s comedy film of Anaconda with Jack Black and Paul Rudd and it could be worth a watch or could be some stupid fun for a Christmas Day release but I am sure we can judge for ourselves when the film comes out in the very end of the year.

To be confirmed

Screamboat (April)
Now onto the unknown releases and while we have a release month for this of April, not date has been given yet and its the first of many character forms that have entered Public Domain and being given the horror makeover which starts with a take on the Mickey Mouse cartoon of Steamboat Willie that entered Public domain last year and has the guy that played Art the clown in a giant mouse fur suit. May be some dumb fun but a possible Horror most bore entry for this year but who knows as of yet.

Wake up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
Now a title I am very much anticipating as we are finally getting the release of the 3rd and possibly final film of the series of Knives Out films with Wake up Dead Man that has some big named stars and the return of Daniel Craig and his southern Twang voice ready to solve another mystery and I hope this will get a proper cinema release this year before its released worldwide on the Netflix service but only time will tell on that one.

Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare
Now technically this one released for a few days in the US in Mid January but I am doing this in the form of film releases where I am from (with a few from the US as well) but we return to the Twisted Childhood universe with the first of what I am guess will be 4 films for this year with the first take being on Peter Pan where instead of a boy who never grew up and can fly, is a child snatcher and serial killer that will take kids to Neverland and never return and have Wendy look for her missing brother. Its a unique idea and the reception, while a little mixed in the negative is ok at best and may be worth a watch but I am sure we will see when it does get a release where I am from.

Bambi: The reckoning
The 2nd of those 4 plans films will see the prince of the forest go out on revenge as they will go from the story of Peter Pan to the new take on Bambi that will be insane deer that is out to kill Man who murdered his mom and I am sure it will have overly graphic kills and some elaborate lore and story to it all that leads to the big event film of this franchise film but maybe it will be one of those bad its good films or actually watchable, who knows.

Pinocchio Unstrung
The 3rd of the 4 films from the Twisted childhood universe is seeing a little puppet that cannot tell lies, however he was not told he could kill as they are giving their take on a twisted form of Pinocchio that will see the puppet of wood kill all that is bad and this one I have seen they give some production into making a practical version of the title character and he looks unsettling so maybe this is th eone they will give their effort the most into before their big crossover.

Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble
As that last one for the year is where they all come together as one in the form of the Poohniverse that sees the twisted versions of characters come together like the previously mentioned characters as well as ones from Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty and being led by Winnie the Pooh for revenge against those that survived and I am sure it will either be all worth a build up or a complete disaster from the start but you can't fault the British filmmakers from a vision that started as a gimmick that enticed people and morphed into a small indie franchise so I will watch that one with interest.

Happy Gilmore 2
We move away from the horror films and instead hit the fairways as after many years of speculation we are getting the sequel to the beloved Adam Sandler film of Happy Gilmore that will see him once again go against Shooter McGavin and a whole host of other professional golfers and I hope it will be as entertaining as the original but we shall see whenever the films gets in the hole for the release.

Den of Thieves 2
Now I know this is another film that is already out in the US, but there has been no release date for this sequel to the film of Den of Thieves that sees those that were once against one another teaming up for a new massive heist as they will need both of their skills and expertise to pull it off and I have heard it has seen as a more liked film over the first so I may check this out in due time when it does get a release (or just shadow drop like that Henry Cavill WW2 film from last year did, who knows).

Del Toro's Frankenstein
Now I mentioned that there was 2 films about the man made monsters coming out this year and this one has no release date as of yet and this is with Del Toro giving his own take on Frankenstein that I am sure will have some form of gothic artistry and the creature will have some unique form and look that will be something unique coming from the curious mind of the director and I am sure will be worth to see on the streamer of Netflix or even a cinema release per chance but who knows right now.

Death of a Unicorn
One of the last A24 films we know about for this year at the moment is one that will see that the consequences of ones actions will come back in some form to haunt them with the new creature horror film of death of a Unicorn that will see a father daughter accidentally run over the mythical creature and the snooty wealthy family of the father boss using but for wealth and gain will learn of the circumstances when another version of this creatures comes to get revenge and while its not the most original idea, an A24 horror usually has some sense of appeal and it peaks my interest at this point in time and worth a check out when it does come out sometime this year.

Return to Silent Hill
Another new film that is taking a page of the video game adaptation is the new attempt at an adaptation of the Silent hill series with a return to Silent Hill that seems to be going in the direction of the plot to the 2nd game from the early production footage I have seen that it may appeal from the recent remake appeal but it is hard to say at this point in time and maybe it could turn out to be good and scary and really revive this franchise that is currently dormant for the time being but I guess we will find out in due time.

Warfare
The last A24 is getting a bit more of a real life focus tale as we are heading to war with a film entitled Warfare that is telling the story of the films director of his time in the Navy Seals during the Iraq war that may provide some unique insight into what this wars meaning was all about and the horrors that come from it as well. It will be interesting to get a film from one who has experienced it first hand and will be worth a check out when it comes come about in due time.

Watch_Dogs
So the last one of these is one that could be clutching at straws but given it has already filmed and wrap production, its not out of the speculation that they could release another game adaptation with this being a take on Watch Dogs that has been very quiet about its plot and production that it could see a late 2025 release for it but it is hard to say at this point in time.

Thursday Murder Club

And the last of the films to come from this year was one I learned while researching another story for the weekly series that I discovered we have an adaptation of the popular murder mystery books on Thursday Murder Club getting the film treatment from Netflix, Chris Columbus and Steven Spielberg and a big named stacked cast too that I have become invested in and I am intrigued to see how they will adapt this into a well loved adaptation and I look forward to see this release this year and see some old age pensioners solving a mystery before supper time but we have plenty to enjoy in the world of film in 2025, but its not the only media format to look forward to.

Time to Binge on the tv

Now we go from the section with the most known amount of content releasing in the year with release dates to the smallest amount of content that we can get from the Industry and that is in the realm of the TV side of things from normal cable and streaming. Now its a case of similar to what is going on in the world as of writing that some of these could be delayed and some will be announced later in the year for the 2025 release with one or 2 I will speculate on for release in the year, but we have a few dates and many unknown but lets focus on what is out this year.

Jan
Castlevania Nocturne Season 2 (Jan 16th)
The first of the shows for the year that I can recognize is with a video game adaptation as we are getting the 2nd season of the Castlevania adaptation spin-off that will see more action from Richter Belmont, his gang of vampire hunters and Alucard fighting against another new powerful adversary from destroying the world. Its gonna be full of action, character, story and well worth a watch I feel if the other series was a sure fire hit then I can see this one being a hit too.

Severance Season 2(Jan 17th)
Its time to clock in and forget the next 8 hours as it is a return to the offices of Lumon are in order for the long awaited 2nd season for the popular series of Severance that has Adam Scott leading the all star cast to try and fight back against the powerful program that separates their work and personal life memories and will fight against the control and I am sure if it is like the first season will be full of twists, turns and all other stuff too but I am sure will be another big success.

Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man (Jan 29th)
Now on the first of the animated side of shows and the first of the superhero series elements is coming to us in the form of the new alternate story to the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man that is more of the early days of Peter Parker from the MCU but in an alternate outcome where he's mentored by Osbourne instead of Tony Stark and while there is a debate about this choice and animation style that some say looks a little choppy, I see it as trying to be a take on the Spider-verse comic style and I think may work and appeal more from the actual release but I will tune into it when the time comes for some bit of entertainment.

Feb
Cobra Kai Season 6 vol 3 (Feb 13th)
The first I can see from February is technically not a full season but rather the final part of the final season to the long running Cobra Kai that will see the final challenge to a head in the world championships where skills and loyalties will be tested and the ultimate champions will come out on top and many have some mixed opinions on this finale but many hope this will wrap up in a satisfying way but I guess we will see in due time if it does kick ass.

White Lotus Season 3 (Feb 16th)
Looking for a getaway from this winter blues, well HBO may have you covered on that front as they are returning to the high class resort of the White Lotus where they will be taking a trip to focus of their resort in Thailand and to think that the likes of the series was a one off season morphed into an anthology which I feel gives it that much more appeal in a way and I am sure will be worth a check in come February.

Win or Lose (Feb 19th)
Heading back to the realm of animation as we have the first original series from Pixar that will be setting up a big game with Win or Lose that will focus on a middle school softball team of the Pickles prepping for the state championships and following the players in their own perspective to the big day in their own struggles and animation styles. I always like it when Pixar tries something interesting with their stories and originals and I am looking forward to see what will come from this show and the visual styles for each episode and I will for sure watch with interest.

Reacher Season 3 (Feb 20th)
When there is big trouble or danger looming, it will need a much bigger man to sort it out as the return of everyone's favourite special agent of Reacher is back for a 3rd season that will be tackling another book from the Tom Clancy series and be taking the law and danger into his own hands. I am sure if the appeal and success of the first 2 seasons are any indication, I can tell this one will have that appeal continue on and need to be a show I catch up on in due time myself.

1923 Season 2 (Feb 23rd)
The last of the big shows confirmed for February is a return to the many stories and series that have spawned from the series of Yellowstone with this being a 2nd season of the prequel of 1923 and continue that story of this generation of the Dutton family dealing with the hardships of the 1920s from Drought, Prohibition and early phases of the Great depression and given the appeal that all of these series have I feel it will wrap it up well in the 2nd and final part of this spin offs story and ride off well into the sunset.

March
Daredevil Born Again (Mar 4th)
The only show that I have a release date for the month of March is with the return of the Man without fear after a 5+ year absense since his last series outing in the new series of Daredevil Born Again that looks to continue that story and build it into more of the wider MCU narrative they alluded to when the series started almost a decade ago at this point and from what I have seen so far it is looking like the appealing hard hitting violent take that started it all off and hopefully will be worth the long wait for the hero of Hell's Kitchen to rise again.

April
The Last of Us Season 2 (Apr)
The first 2 for this month of April technically don't have a release date yet, but I feel in most case will both be dropping around Mid April and I start with one of my own personal top 3 anticipated shows of the year and that is the long awaited 2nd season to the Last of Us that will be tackling some elements of the critically acclaimed and heavily divisive 2nd game of the series and its a case it is given me enough time to prep my emotions to be absolutely decimated over this seasons run and most case the next season as well but I see that as a good sign and intrigued to see peoples reactions to the narrative beats who never played the original game.

Devil May Cry Anime (Apr)
The 2nd of the adaptations getting the Anime Netflix treatment is going in the approach of something fast paced and full of action and creatures from beyond our world with a take on the popular Devil May Cry series with Dante donning his iconic jacket and pistols and from the small snippet so far it looks like it may bring an appeal like the Castlevania series, but I am sure time will tell in due time this April.

Andor Season 2 (Apr 22nd)
The last of the shows that we do know of releasing in the month of April is the only confirmed series set in a Galaxy far far away for this year and that is with the long awaited 2nd and final season of Andor that has been anticipated since its release in 2022 and I can tell that its go big or go home as what I have heard the 2 seasons cost a massive amount to make so I hope it will be on par with season 1 but we will see when it drops in late April.

June
The Bear Season 4 (June)
We are now jumping forward to the start of the Summer into the month of June as we will be once again grabbing a tasty meal as we will be getting the 4th season of the acclaimed series of The Bear that will be serving more conflict, drama and some tasty meals and some sense of fast paced and stressful prep for a tasty meal but I am sure if its like the last few then it is a surefire tasty meal worth raving about when it is ordered soon.

Ironheart
After their debut in the sequel to Black Panther Wakanda forever and having been developed in a series and waiting to debut for the last 2 years, it is finally time for Riri Williams to soar with the series focused on her character of Ironheart that looks like it will give some interesting vibe and appeal as I liked her character in the film debut and hopefully that energy and more character development will work when the series finally drops in Late June this year.

Squid Game Final Season (June 27th?)
As for one that is a speculation date from a possible leak from the streamer and country the series is from, it will be time to see how these games will continue and how they will come to an end as we will have the 3rd season or the final part of season 2 of Squid Game that will see Gi-Hun make it his mission to rescue all that remains in the games and take them down and the front Man from causing so much death and Bloodshed. After how the last season ends, I am all for finding out the last of the 3 games will be and hoping for a more triumphant end to it all but we will see as the series comes along in due time.

August:
Black Panther Eyes of Wakanda (Aug 6th)
Jumping now to Early August for the one series confirmation for the moment is with the next animated series from the MCU that will focus on the character of the Black Panther and tell some tales from the past and present of this hero over the years since the foundation of Wakanda. I have wondered and thoughts a series focused on the first of the Black Panthers was founded and formed in the past would appeal in the future but I hope this is a blueprint for more stories of this advanced Civilization to come down the line.

Peacemaker Season 2 (August)
Justice will be about to feel the full force of Peace once again as John Cena will be strapping on the suit and metal helmet to become everyone's favourite douchebag anti-hero of Peacemaker will be back with a 2nd season that will be following on after Superman takes flight and will be the big question as to how this will connect to the overarching new saga set up from the DCU when it was part of the DCEU with Gunn's Suicide Squad movie, but I am sure we will learn in due time as well as be blessed with a return of the iconic opening titles.

October
Marvel Zombies (Oct)
The last of the confirmed Animated series from the MCU will be dropping just in time for Halloween and is taking a page from one of the episodes of What If that will focus on the heroes and the survivors of the undead Zombie hoard and feel they will either give it a toned down form or else they may go a bit more violent and bloody but I am sure we will see when the 4 episode limited series comes out around the spooky season.

December
Wonder Man (Dec)
The last of the shows with a release month or window and is the last of the projects confirmed for work being done from the MCU and is with an introduction to the character of Wonder Man that is being done in the form of a world of appeal of superheroes in Hollywood or that they exist or so but I feel from the approach it is giving off an interesting vibe to it all that I will enjoy learning more about in due time when it releases onto Disney+ just in time for Christmas.

To Be Confirmed
Creature Commandos
So starting off on the ones without a release date yet is technically a series that has released in the US last year but we have yet to see any form of confirmed release for the first of the DCU series of shows with Creature Commandos of the new wave of DC starting off being a little weird but also hearing being a little emotional and well developed with character and it is something that I am looking forward to eventually watch it when the series does release over here.

It Welcome to Derry
In the basis now of a new show that is coming out of this year and has been delayed for a while here and there is going to see if we will float too as we will be getting the prequel series for IT with Welcome to Derry with a planned 3 seasons focusing on a new period of time around 27 years apart when the creature that is disguised as a clown awakens again to feast and hopefully it will have some strong quality and appeal from the recent 2 film adaptations and work better in some regards with story and balance instead of jumping all over the place (as well as the creepy factor too) but I am sure we will see how it comes about in due time.

Wednesday Season 2
Things will soon be getting kooky and creepy and a new mystery will be unveiled to be solved and it all comes down into place with the 2nd season for the upcoming adaptation of Wednesday that will see Jenna Ortega playing the dead pan character that many appealed back in the first season and I am sure there will be plenty to look forward to with this series when it comes out later this year.

Stranger Things Final Season
If there was any form of series that has the most anticipation for how this will all come to an end it is with the wrapping up of the 80s based series of Stranger Things that will see the kids and some of their parents from Hawkins will be making the mission to take down Vecna and his army of D&D creatures from the Upside Down and bring an end to the horror. If there is any case I do hope is that we will see some higher stakes and some actual death (some I would not mind see be sacrificed) in this as there is a bit too many characters being focused at once but I do hope it will be a satisfying conclusion instead of a clustered mess.

Only Murders in the Building Season 5
If there is any indication of what to expect from this year, it will more then likely see another season of the hit murder mystery comedy of Only Murders in the Building that will be interesting how they will top the Hollywood movie mystery scene of last season but it is giving some PI vibes for a 5th season concept but it is hard to say at the moment as to who it will be but I am sure I will be there to observe the mystery and theorize every week as to who is responsible (and I love that).

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2
There will be more of a focus to the dealings of many gods which is a lot for a teen to manage as we will be getting the 2nd season of the new take of the Percy Jackson with this focus in dealing with the god of the oceans of Hermes and given its Lin Manuel playing this god I feel some form of music will be maybe involved but I guess we can find out in due time if it will or not.

Avatar the Last airbender sequel series
It will soon be a case of the focus of many elements and combining them together to bring the forces of a powerful master to save the day again as we have a continuation of the popular series of Avatar with a sequel to the original story coming out later in the year following Aang, Katara, Zuko, Toph and Sokka on their adventures of keeping the lands safe from any dangerous threat and I am interested to see how this will play out in due time but I am sure we will find out soon enough.

Phineas and Ferb revival
They say that their is around 104 day for Summer but it seems with this series that it goes on for another couple of years and it is showing with the likes of a planned revival to Phineas and Ferb being in the works that will see a lot more crazy new adventures and inventions from the brothers, Candace trying to bust them and their platypus stopping an evil mad scientist from taking over the tri-state area but I am sure it will be full of interesting new adventures to come from it all in due time.

King of the Hill revival
In the realm of revivals of a series that was a popular show back over 20 years ago and has been in development for some time, I have a feeling we will see the release of the planned revival to King of the Hill somepoint this year with everyone aged up a fair bit and most I know from it is that Bobby is now a top chef at some restaurant, which may mean the boy turned out right and I wonder if he cooks using the finest Propane and Propane accessories? But I guess we will see about all of that when the series does eventually release.

Alien Earth (Summer)
Now for this upcoming series is part of a franchise that will emphasize that in space no one will hear you scream, but in the basis of this new series, we will be hearing a lot of that as we have a new Alien series in the works that will be set on Earth and bring the terrifying life form much more closer to home and it has an interesting aspect that will be interesting to see how it may see the deep space exploration and if this life form would be a major threat to our own society on earth but I am sure we will learn more on it during the summer when it releases.

Game of Thrones: Knight of the seven kingdoms
The last that I can see coming to us from HBO is retirning to the realm of the 7 kingdoms of Westeros as while the original series is dead and buried and is taking a while for House of the Dragon's next season to soar, we have the next spin off of the show with a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms that is focused on the story of the Tales of Dunk and Egg and the journey of a Knight and a prince on a journey across westeros and I am intrigued to see how will they approach this in ways of action and character driven narrative but I am sure we will see this either by the Summer after Last of Us or in the fall and be a mix match of release before or after the clown but we shall see on that.

Smiling Friends Season 3
This last one is more of a unlikely one to see compared to the likes of a confirmation that we have an 8th season of the world smartest scientist and his teenage nephew coming out this year, but the one I have a hope we could see something for is with a return of a 3rd season of Smiling Friends as I love the original 2 seasons and have followed the creators for years now that I feel we could see it this year or latest is next year but I want more madcap episodes of Charlie, Pim, Alan, Glep and Mr Boss making it a mission to help people smile but maybe it can be a surprise drop or something but we will see by then.

Yeah its gamer Time

And lastly we have reached the last part of this anticipated media side of things and it will be more of the interactive side of stuff as we have now gotten to talk on all of the upcoming releases of the world of Video Games which vary from the small Indie titles, ones that I want to personally shout out (one very important in particular) to the massive AAA or now AAAA titles as they say from some of the areas. Now it is not the only bit of focus to the games as there is also one other piece in the area of some tech pieces too as we have a big reveal, show off and release to come from this year so we will talk on that in this too. Now of course like the other 2 sections, it is all down to some release dates are known and some that are up in the air and many may get delayed before the projected release or some into the following year but it is a known thing at this point. So lets power on the system, grab a controller and lets get to discuss those releases.

January
Donley Kong Country Returns HD (Jan 16th)
We start the first game I have seen with a big release is getting down to business, monkey business in that extent as we start the year with a HD port of the Wii title of Donkey Kong country returns that I am sure for those that missed out on that console and even the 3DS rerelease can play this new title on the go or at home for helping get the banana hoard back from some dastardly tikis and while I would want an all new game in this series or 3D title for the Kong, a bit of a return to Nostalgia is something I can get behind for the time being until the new console may give us what we hope for soon.

Dynasty Warriors Origins (Jan 17th)
If you are up for being a one man army against an armada then thankfully they will cover just that with the return of the popular series of Dynasty Warriors with the Origins title that will take inspiration and focus in the first half of the book it is based on of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and going off what I have seen from reception it has given its appeal greatly in reception and will be worth a play through at some point in time to feel like an unstoppable force against a massive armada.

Sniper Elite Resistance (Jan 30th)
The first of what I feel will be a few titles based on war in this list is seeing a return to what I think may be the 6th mainline entry of the Sniper Elite series of you taking down the German army with a simple sniper and dedicated focus with plenty of ways of taking the shot and making the enemy feel the pain. I enjoy this series here and there and while its a case that the story can be overlooked, it usually comes down to the appeal of the kills and methods to do so but I am sure it will be worth a play when it drops at the end of the month.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 (Jan 30th)
Now we start with the first of the many horror titles and this first one is one that started off as a game with messy behind the scenes drama from bullying, hate campaigns and even attempts of NFTS to where it is now continuing the story of their game of Poppy Playtime with the 4th chapter that has brought a lot more appeal to the series after the 3rd chapter and from the looks of things it is going for a more cryptic form and look with a focus on 2 creatures so far of a colourful lion like creature and a man trapped with his subconscious in a massive mainframe but from what they have shown is that it ma appeal very well and could be worth to see what new content is presented come the end of the month.

February
Kingdom Come Deliverance II (Feb 4th)
Heading into the month of February, we start off with a trip to the past of the era of the Medieval era as we will be getting the sequel to the sleeper hit title of Kingdom Come Deliverance and see the continuing story of Henry, the son of a Blacksmith, on a journey to defend his home against the Roman army and defeat their emperor of Sigismund and from the sounds of it, it could be a decent game to try out, will probably need to play the original first to follow the story but I am sure I can get to it in due time.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII (Feb 11th)
Now if you have had the itch of needing to be a god and control how the future of the world from the past to the present is done then thankfully it will be presented as Sid Meier's is coming back with the 7th Mainline title of his Civilization series that will be in the control of how you see fit and it is a fun time from what I have seen and may get into the series at some point but lets see how this all comes about.

Avowed (Feb 18th)
Now we have the title from the studio that brought so many people's favourite entry of the Fallout series as we will finally see the release of their new game of Avowed this February with a setting of the fantasy world of Eora as you take on a role of an envoy of the Aedyr empire and explore the living lands to investigate the mysterious plague known as the dream scourge and from the sounds of things it seems very ambitious but given its had a bit of a few delays over the years, I think it will do well in its appeal and worth a try in due time.

Monster Hunter Wilds (Feb 28th)
It will be soon time to gear up and prep to take down and capture some deadly creatures as we will be returning to the series of Monster Hunter with the new entry of wilds as you travel through the Forbidden Lands taking on some of the most insane forms of Monsters and creatures seen to roam the planet and it looks like it has some big potential and well worth a look into in due time as I have dabbled in this series in the past and has some appeal so maybe some Monster hunting fun is on the agenda for the future of gaming.

March
Fragpunk (March 6th)
If you have been itching for a new 5v5 after the last one ended poorly and shut down within 2 weeks or want something original besides Marvel characters, then you are in look with a new game of Fragpunk that will see you take on a form of a fast paced looter shooter that will give you abilities to changes the rules of the combat through the power of some strange cards and from the visuals and designs, it gives a vibe to Overwatch and other shooter but may appeal in some form but we can see if it will have a moment to shine against the competition come the release in early March.

Assassins Creed Shadows (Mar 20th)
After 2 delays and a long await for this period setting, we are returning once again to the annual franchise of Assassins Creed with the new title of Shadows that is going to be set in the long requested era of Feudal Japan and take on the role of 2 characters (one more of a Ninja Assassin and the other of a Samurai) as you protect the lands from the threat of the armies looking to take the lands by force and against the age old enemy of the Assassins with the Templars and I think from the footage and content I have seen since its release looks pretty cool and I am looking forward to see how this will come about when it drops in the latter half of March.

Tales of the Shire: A lord of the Rings Game (Mar 25th)
If there is a case we need some more cozy life type titles needing to be out then thankfully you will be in luck as we will see just that set in the world of Lord of the Rings and in the realm of the Shire where you can create your own Hobbit and your little hutt built into the hills and it seems like something that will add some appeal for when you are not interested in big action games and just want something more cozy for a bit of time and will be worth a playing of come the end of March.

Atomfall (Mar 27th)
The last title we have for this month and for the likes of a release date that we know of is with the new IP from the studio behind Sniper Elite with their new game of Atomfall that will have you play as a citizen of a quarantine zone in a northern part of England during an alternate version of the 1950s and 5 years after the Windscale Nuclear disaster as you go on a quest to solve the mystery of what happened to the area and if there is something deeper then seen on the surface. It gives me the vibe of a different era Fallout with some element of Outer Worlds that seems like an interesting take and perspective to it all and I am sure I will give a look into this down the line when I get a chance cause it has some interesting aesthetic to it all and will be worth a try in due time.

To Be Confirmed
Nintendo Switch successor (Switch 2 or Nintendo's next console)
So before we start with the unknown games, we will instead focus on the likes of some tech as of course one of the big anticipated releases with the gaming scene is with the release of the new Nintendo Switch console AKA the Nintendo Switch 2 which will be more powerful, new tech and so much more and I am ready for the next era of Nintendo and I cannot wait to try it out with all of the new games and everything in between sometime later this year.

Baby Steps
First of the games that was supposedly to be out last year but who knows for its release is the newest game from Devolver with a dumb gimmick of baby steps where you play as a Basement dweller who leaves the house and heads on a dumb journey to the top of the nearby mountain and things are not going to be that simple as they will be stumble and tumble their way to the top which sounds like a basis of a fun but stressful game to play through but I am sure it will be worth a try when it does release eventually.

Borderlands 4
After the mixed appeal of the film version that released last year, many wonder if there is much excitement of the next entry but it seems there is ore hope with the 4th Borderlands game with you playing as the usual affair or ragtag characters on a quest to gain loot, powers, millions of weapons and take on a powerful villain in the form of a Timekeeper and I am sure it will have the appeal of the last titles and hopefully it will not be hampered by the recent film adaptation.

Death Stranding 2 on the Beach
We then have the focus of release with the long awaited follow up to the game world created from the mind of Hideo Kojima with Death Stranding 2 on the Beach that will continues the story of Sam Graves as he continues the delivery trek across the country and connect the strands together to rebuild the world that is left in disarray that I am sure will have some interesting aspects and a lot of convolutions but I am sure it will in some way work out well enough and worth a try when it releases later in the year.

Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4
Now for a return to an Indie darling that has not seen the release of a new chapter since 2021 and that is with the confirmed release of the 3rd and 4th chapters to the Indie darling of Deltarune that will continue the quest of Kris and Susie to restore a strange land hidden below their own that may affect the world above them too and I am sure it will be a welcome return to the world created by Toby Fox and Temmie (who needs to pay for her college fees) and I am all set for a return sometime soon.

Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020
Its time to enter the library of the Curator once again to read into the new story from the Dark Pictures Anthology with a trip deep into the far future of space with Directive 8020 that will see the crew of a space station deal with the form of an alien threat and danger that will course come down to the choices you make in who will live or die through the story but I am sure will be interested to see how they will play out those stories in due time.

Doom the Dark Ages
If there is one thing that anyone seems to be all up for when the time comes around it is to rip and tear as we will have a new game in the Doom series with Dark Ages that will see Doom Guy shooting blasting and slashing his way through the demons of Hell to protect all of humanity from pain and suffering and there is some cool shit in this one from sawblade shields to flying creature fights and so much more, the appeal of this series has really gotten bigger and bigger with each new release and I look forward to bring fear to the demons of hell real soon.

Dune Awakening (early 2025)
We shall soon head back to the deserts of Arrakis real soon as instead of the next entry of Messiah we have the new game of Awakening that will see you take on the role of an Imperium as you build your empire to control the rich spice on this planet while defending against or allying with fellow players online to become a ruler and prophet of the lands and it seems like it has some big potential and hopefully will be a solid experience akin to the recent films but we will see when the game comes out sometime in the early part of 2025.

Dying Light the Beast
we then take a trip back to the past of a series that started about a decade ago and a return of a character whos fate was left uncertain as we will see a return of the series of Dying light with The Beast that will see the return of Kyle Crane who is out for revenge and survival after years of brutal experimentation and it seems like there is some appeal and bring a return to a series that was prime for so much content and will be worth a try when it releases sometime later this year.

Elden Ring Nightreign
It was not going to be long before From Software would be back with an all new title as after their massive success with the giant expansion of Shadow of the Erdtree they are back with the new and concerning title of Nightreign that will have elements of Elden Ring mixed with iconic figures from the Soulsbourne series in a new co-op title that may also be a concern of a live service game but details on that are very slim. All I know is that it will be worth seeing if that appeal from this studio is still present in this form of title or if they will need to git gud for a proper new title afterwards but we will see once the title releases.

Fable
High fantasy and adventure will be on the horizon as after being dormant for about a decade, we are returning to the series of Fable with a new high fantasy adventure that will see some familiar faces from the real world, big fantastical set pieces and a whole lot more (and presumed online trolling of the main leads look as per usual which I see as unnecessary) I feel this could bring new life into a series with a mixed appeal and will be worth a try somepoint later this year.

Five Night's at Freddy's Secret of the Mimic
Now for a series that has plenty of content that it has pumped out since its indie inception 10 years ago in 2014, the film sequel is not the only form of FNAF content we have this year as besides a Dead by Daylight Crossover, there is a new title coming out to add to the ever expanding and confusing lore with secret of the Mimic, a character first unveiled in the Security Breach DLC that will most case be set decades before we found the version in that title and I am sure there will be some unique focus gimmick for that character in the upcoming title but I am sure we will learn when this releases (as given they games it could be any day).

Ghost of Yotei
After the surprise smash hit success and the real respectful take on the lore and legacy of the setting we will be getting a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima this year with the title of Ghost of Yótei that will be set 329 years after the events of the original and be a solo sequel and take on the role of female protagonist of Atsu or as she is known as "The Ghost" and goes on a quest for vengeance (what that is right now is unknown) and from the visuals and some focus of content in this it looks pretty cool and will be worth a playing of in due time and I need to get around to playing the orignal game to get even more hype for it.

Grand Theft Auto 6 (Fall 2025, may be rumoured delayed to 2026)
DO I need to really say much on this next one, of course it is the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 game that has been in demand and waiting for a new GTA for 12 years now and will be the game to beat in terms of its hype and appeal when it does release. Do I see it out this year, I feel in the middle ground as I have heard rumblings of a delay into next year but that is with nearly every Rockstar title so it is bound to be expected, but either way I am very much hyped for it.

Little Nightmares 3 (Summer 2025)
While there is many a title that can go really big in terms of their horror focus and scares, sometimes it can take just a little nightmare to really provide some unsettling and creepy appeal as we are getting the 3rd entry in the series after a long wait and from all of the footage and content I have seen so far I am looking forward to getting on my hands on the new entry after being unsettled and thoroughly entertained from the first 2 entries and I for one cannot wait to see what fucked up creations will be found in this wasteland location.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra
Besides the usual series of Call of Duty which will vary in wherever that series entry will be, there is another game set in the wartime period and it is coming to us from the studio of Marvel with the title of 1943: Rise of Hydra that will have you take on the roles of both Steve Rogers / Captain America and Azzuri / Black Panther as you infiltrate the occupied Paris during the war and take down the corporation of Hydra before they obtain a powerful item that will lead to total domination. What I have seen from this game in the focus of the new engine tech demo is quite impressive and it is something I would be interested in trying out in form form down the line as a new era setting for a marvel game would not be much of a complaint in my eyes and will give it a try when the timing is right.

Metal Dear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
He sure kept us waiting huh? As after a bit of a delay and uncertainty of the game coming out at the end of last year, we are returning to the world of Tactical Espionage Action where it all began with the remake of Snake Eater that will be quite a feat to see a beloved Metal Gear entry getting the 4K upgrade it deserved and I for one will be up for the thrill of it when it releases sometime real soon.

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond
A game for a while that was seen as dormant has finally risen from the rubble as after not hearing any word for about 5 years since its planned restart of production, we finally will see the long awaited 4th Metroid Prime entry and the return of space bounty hunter of Samus Aran looking to discover alien life forms or recover important artifacts on strange hostile planets and I think a new Metroid will be welcome after a long absence and I can see this as a launch title for the Switch 2 or close to it but I am sure we will learn about the release real soon.

Mouse PI for Hire
I've got a scoop and a real humdinger of a title to talk on for this next one as getting a little inspired by the likes of the Cuphead title and classic cartoons of the 1920-30s, we have a new FPS title of Mouse P.I for Hire that has you taking crime into your own hands and taking down the bad guys and turning them into swiss cheese and I think it will be worth the time and energy to try it out in due time as the appeal of this aesthetic and design is very appealing and will be worth a play of when it does get the go ahead.

Pokémon Legends Z-A
It is time to return to the world the Pocket Monsters as we have a new entry of the Pokémon series on the way and being more of a follow up to the open world based title form of Arceus with the new entry of Legends Z-A and see a return to the realm of the Kalos region to find, battle, capture and train Pokémon's across the region and I feel if it brings the appeal of the first Legends title then I am sure this will be one as well. I feel this could also be a Switch 2 launch title but we will find out more on that in upcoming showcase in a few weeks time.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
Looking for some mystery and a lot of puzzles to solve with a well dressed man and his young ward, well you are in luck as after a long dormant period Professor layton has returned for a new round of puzzles in the next title of the New World of Steam that looks to be the biggest and most dangerous adventure yet and I am all for getting my brain fried with these puzzles and solutions and unravel the mystery in this new steampunk town very soon.

Perfect Dark Reboot?
Now not officially confirmed for a release this year but given its rumoured 7 year development time, we may see a return of Joanna Dark for the all new reboot of Perfect dark as you take down a powerful corporation that may be behind a series of ecological disasters known as "The Cascade" and you must use your skills to expose the truth. It is surprising that the series would go dormant for 20 years where this could've had an appeal like Lara Croft and Tomb Raider had over the last decade but I think it may be worth a return of this iconic character and well worth taking on this mission sometime in the future.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

And one final title from this long list that may finally see some form of update or eventual release is with the long awaited DLC or sequel to the acclaimed title of Hollow Knight with the title of Silk Song  that have you hack and slash your way through the world as the "Hornet" in order to restore balance to a corrupted world and I feel after being unveiled as a separate title over 5 years now, I am sure we will see a form of a resurgence for the title for this year or by the next but we shall see how this will come about but I know many are ready to return to this beautiful world the original created all those years ago.

And with that now, I think I have went on long enough to where I can wrap it up here. I know the case is that some of this is all over the place and there was probably a fair amount in each category that I probably overlooked in release for the year but some are a bit obscure and lacking in detail or confirmation to include at this time and I am sure will be included in my usual weekly media roundup series. But overall there is a lot to look forward over these next 12 months that may appeal to many in different areas and some not so much but to me, having an excitement for a huge wave of all things media is one thing I will be around to check out soon.

But for now I will leave it there and I will like to know your own thoughts as to what titles are you looking forward to seeing or trying out this year and is there any I may have missed that may interest you in particular? let me know in the comments below and we can discuss all about it there. But for now I will leave it as such and until next time you all stay being wonderful people and have a great day everyday doing many great things and I will see you all in the next piece :)

Take Care, Keep being you, signing off
Sam H :)
