Weird Mind News Room Episode 120: June 9th - 15th

*need some music to take flight with some ancient creatures*

Well hello there to all of you wonderful people on this corner of the information Superhighway to the 120th edition of my weekly series of Weird Mind News Room where this week we will be talking on the usual form of New Releases, some Trailers or 2 and a few News stories of varying discussions but we can get to talking on all of that by getting deep into talking on all things media for another week.

How to watch your new releases

Movies
How to Train your Dragon (Live Action)
So the first of the new releases and the only new film to come out of this week is one that is taking us once again to a genre that has overstayed its welcome and usually you would expect it from the one usual culprit but in this instance, it seems to have caught on with one of their younger competitor as we have a live action remake coming to us not from Disney, but this time (and hopefully a 1 off of just this series) as we will see man and creature come together and change the course of history as we have the release of the Live action take on Dreamworks How to Train your Dragon. The film will follow the story of the original 2010 movie that will tell the story of Hiccup, the son of the Viking chief of the island of Berk who have a bit of a dragon problem and in the process of a recent attack, unexpectedly captures the fabled night fury dragon where he will soon befriend the dragon and name it toothless and will soon learn the secrets of all there is to learn about these species and change the course of Viking and Dragon history in the process. Reception on this remake like the original has recieved some very well received with praise to its translation from Animation to live action, performances and seen as one of the best Live action takes in general, though some will still say these remakes are unnecessary and if you want to check it out for yourself then you can catch the new film out now in cinemas.

Video Games
Dune: Awakening

Then on the likes of the games front, the first of these titles is coming to us based on the likes of the massive success of this duology of films that will soon be a trilogy and the basis of a war, conflict, cultures and legacy all for the control of a powerful substance known as spice, as after a bit of a wait and patience, we have finally seen the release of the all new open world RPG of Dune Awakening. The game is set in an alternate timeline where Paul Atredis is never born and you are caught in a civil War between the houses of Atredis and Harkonnen. You will take control of a character that is an undercover agent for the Bene Gesserit and you must find the Fremen who have mysterious vanished and find a way to awaken the sleeper. Reception on the title has also seen some well recieved reception wit praise to its narrative, gameplay and visuals and may be a worthy story that connect to the massive narrative story that has spanned nearly half a century and if you are up to play it you can do so now on PC with a console port coming sometime in 2026.

Mindseye
as for the 2nd game of this week is with the world showing a slow form of evolution, it will soon see the case that in this world that when a threat gets a lot more dangerous, it will take some upgrades coincidentally bestowed onto you that it will become something bigger then you think as we have the release of the new open World sci-fi tech shooter of Mindseye. The game will have you take on the role of Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with a mysterious neural implant, known as the Mindseye. Suffering from flashbacks and memory loss, he heads towards the fictional town of Redrock, where he aims to discover the secrets behind this implant. Reception on this title however have not been that great as while the likes of some visual aesthetic and some elements of the narrative are praised, it is bogged down with underwhelming gameplay, a story that feels incomplete and a serious case of busted visuals and performances problems all over the place that it has already been seen by many as one of the worst games of this year but could make a fix if possible and if you want to try it out for yourself if you can then you can play it now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Five Nights at Freddy's Secret of the Mimic
The last of the new releases for this week is with the focus of a game I thought was not out until next week, but it seemed to have sprung out to me out a certain figure popping out like a Jack in a Box as we are returning to a series that has really popped off over a course of a decade and going way back to the past and try to make sense of even more lore as we are back with the popular indie series of Five Nights at Freddy's with Secret of the Mimic. The game will have you enter into a massive abandoned workshop of Murray's Costume Manor and unravel the mystery left behind by the reclusive inventor of Edwin Murray and will soon about to enter into a world where every dark corner holds a secret and every flicker of light hints at an ever changing threat. Reception on the new title seems to be garnering on very positive reception with praise on the evolution of the FNAF series, its narrative, scares and visuals with most of the complaints possibly going by the price of the title and the length of the game itself and if you are up for more scares and trying to find more lore then you can play it now on PC and PS5.

How to twist a trailers tale

Marvel Television's IronHeart
On the first of the trailer for this week would most case not be counted in the likes of my rule of not being focused on one of releasing in about 2 weeks but it just about avoided the cut off so I will count it and in this case it will be soon time to suit on and build their own path to a new legacy that is not replacing what came before but being inspired by it as we have recieved the final trailer for the upcoming New MCU tv series based on the character of Ironheart. The series will take place a few days after the events of Black Panther Wakanda Forever and see MIT student Riri Williams returning home to Chicago where she becomes entangled with the enigmatic Parker Robbins or also known as The Hood, where she will discover secrets that will pit technology against Magic and soon set her off on a path of Danger and Adventure. Now it is a case that this character to me personally was appealing from their first introduction in Wakanda Forever that even if the suit looked a little too close to a character seen in the Power rangers, I think that the likes of establishing a character that is not trying to replace the hero of Iron Man (which every usual "anti-Woke" critic on YouTube thinks is happening and using it for views when it is not the case from the comics) and being more of inspired to the character and from the likes of the small glimpses of this series so far I don't think it looks too bad and from the case that it has taken about 3 years for the series to finally be released has finally given it a chance to be seen by so many more now and I am hoping that this one will turn out good in the end but we will see real soon as the series will be blasting off in just under 2 weeks time now on Disney+.

Eddington
the 2nd trailer for this week is with a focus of a title from a director that may not have made the biggest of filmographies so far but their films have proven to be fan favourites and provides so many appeals and fans or a bit of a mixed opinion on one or 2 of them and it looks like they are back again with a new title that has more of something that would be a lot more of a common modern day discussion as Ari Aster is here to provide a twisted tale back in the height of the pandemic with a trailer for his new film of Eddington. The film is set during the events of the recent Covid Pandemic, where it will see a stand off between a small town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and a mayor running for reelection (Pedro Pascal) and soon sparks a powder keg of chaos as soon neighbour is pitted against Neighbour in a place known as Eddington, New Mexico. So it can be said that the likes of his films has their appeal of having a bit of a real world aesthetic with a weird or fantastical elements to it (Midsommar and watching it with that one person will always hold a special place in my heart) and while his last film had a bit of an underwhelming outcome, this one seems to be more taken an approach of something in a more real and modern setting in the likes of political and social commentary kind of way and going off of the reception from the recent Cannes Film festival, it seems to have gotten some decent reception but I am sure it will be worth a check out when the film releases into cinemas presumably on July 18th.

Splatoon Raiders
The 3rd trailer for this week is the one Game trailer that we have for this week is the case that some updates from the city's research team has been a little silent for a little bit of time but after radio silence the research time has arrived with the news of an all new title of a trailer for Splatoon Raiders. This new fame will center around a mysterious Mechanic who goes adventuring with Deep Cut research crew to the mysterious Spirhalite Islands and learn of the secrets and more along the way. So it seems to be a case that the likes of this title may going a little bit in a different direction of the original series but may still have the high octane all out multiplayer action that the original trilogy was known for and could be worth a try in due time to see what is new in this title. At the moment there is no word on when we will see this new title get a release but so far it is confirmed to be coming soon to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Superman
And the final trailer for this week is one that also seems to have slipped under the radar for me with its announcement besides the confirmation that you can book the tickets for this already but in the basis of this new title that when the world is in danger, it will take a point to look up into the sky and find one that will provide a sense of hope as we have recieved what seems to be a final trailer for the upcoming new take on Superman. This new take on the popular character will see him have already been established as a superhero and will see Clark Kent or Superman go on a journey to reconcile with his Kryptonian Heritage with the aid of his adoptive family in Kansas and also deal with the threat of dangers like the powerful Lex Luthor and crossing path with other powerful Meta Humans. It is definetly a case that as I see more and more of this footage and content for this new title the more interested I have become in this project and the more I see the likes of this Superman portrayal being seen as a possible strong adaptation of the character that I do hope turns out really good in the overall outcome and not get bogged down by those that complain of getting the one that came before but so far it does look really good and I am excited to see this come about and we are not too far from release as the film will be flying into cinemas from just under a months time on July 11th.

How to speak Newsanese

It will be my turn on the Xbox soon

So follow on from the stories of last week of some of the big gaming conventions of last week, there was one more that was initially a part of the list for last week that was not started before I had finished writing the episode so I decided to add it to this week and this was of course with a focus from the Xbox Gaming Show case that occoured on Sunday night with about 30 titles announced at the event that I will be giving a quick rundown as much as I can of all that was announced and then after this I will add just 2 other announcements based on the world of video games that were unrelated to this but we will get to it in quick succession so lets get to it now.

So the first of the announcements was with the first look at some of the story and gameplay at the sequel of the Outer Worlds which will show so much more of the massive and colourful world and crazy weapons and characters that you will come across and while I have not played the first game yet, I think that it does look really cool and I am sure will be worth a playthrough when this comes out on October 29th.
Then a surprise one that I was think we were not going to get anything else from, we recieved an announcement of a sequel to the title of High on Life which will bring more weird and cosmic wonders for a new adventure, that I also have to wonder if a certain voice role and founder of the company is still involved but I guess we will see when the title releases sometime later this year.

We then had a focus reveal of a new title based in the world of A Plague Tale with Resonance that is a prequel to the series and have you on a journey to a place known as Minotaur Island and while nothing major in story or what to expect in narrative is shown, the series is usually very well recieved and worth a play and I am sure this will be just as similar when it comes out in 2026.
Then a rumour for a fair bit of time, it is finally time that Xbox got in on the gaming handheld market as they unveiled the new ROG Xbox Ally with a standard edition in White and and Ally X in Black with the bigger consister of higher power and storage compared to the standard and is aiming possibly for the end of the year though no date yet (and besides rumoured pricing the normal Ally is cost €600 and the Ally X is €900 which is not cheap). It also confirmed and shown more of Hollow Knight Silksong on the device then Nintendo did and still confirmed the release of that for 2025.

Then we got a look at the game of Blood of Dawnwalker which is a new title from some developers of Cyberpunk and Witcher 3 that has you as a Daywalker dealing with both silver poisoning and a vampiric curse as you save the world and your family in 30 days and may be well worth a try of the gothic medieval setting and tone and well worth a try when it is unleashed sometime next year.

Then a reveal and a title I did not expect to see make a return after all this time is an all new game based on Super Meat Boy but this time as a challenging 3d Platformer that looks to be a heavy fast paced challenge to beat the courses, enemies and bosses and save your Girlfriend in a new Dimension and it does look really cool and I am sure will be fun to return to this world and series when it drops in early 2026.

Then similar to Predator, we are not just getting 1 but 2 new games based on the series of Ninja Gaiden with this one being the 4th entry in the 3D based form and it looks like that quick flashy and bloody combat will be something to get excited for and well worth a return to this game that will have some big story continuation I am sure of and we will see by the new game releases on October 22nd.
Then a title that has already released but has gotten a bit of a focus of a continued adventure as we got a new look at the DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with the DLC entitled of The Order of Giants that will delve more into the order of the Nephilim Giants first discussed in the Main game and will see more mysteries, dangers ad treasure set to be found under Rome and will be set for a new adventure with the DLC dropping on September 4th.

Then the studio behind the Pokemon games of Game Freak will be dropping an all new title known as Beast of Reincarnation where you take on one of the remaining humans and her faithful Canine as you survive in a post apocalyptic Japan against massive dangerous creatures and it feels strange to see such a massive visually expansive title from the same studio behind those pocket monsters but I am sure it will be worth seeing all the fuss when this drops on the consoles in 2026.

Then a title I see as a mix of Dishonoured and Bioshock Infinite was revealed with a title known as Clockwork Revolution that has an interesting aesthetic of a Steampunk world, goofy characters and something that peaked my interest from the start and looks like it will be fun to explore this world and change the course of history when this title sometime in the near future.
Then a surprise sequel reveal that I was thinking was just some DLC was the unveiling of a sequel the award winning Grounded title where instead of fighting and surviving in a massive back garden of a crazy scientist, you find yourself trying to survive in a massive land of a local park of more dangers and wonders awaiting for you to explore and it does look like it will be worth being shrunk down on a tiny scale with the title aiming for release in early access on July 29th.

Then we got the look of an all new horror game from Blooper team known as Cronos the new dawn that will have you as an agent for a company known as the Collective and involve time travelling back to the 1980s Europe to save through that don't survive an disaster known as The Change that turned humans into creatures known as "Orphans" and it looks super trippy and really unsettling and I feel will be worth a try out of when it releases later this year.

Speaking of Bloober team, its not the only horror title from them on the way as they are also confirmed on Thursday to be working on a remake of the original Silent Hill after the smash success of the 2nd Games remake last year and I am sure it will be interesting to see the updated visuals of this original title when it releases in the near future.

Then we are heading to the cosmos for a Sci-fi adventure of Aphelion that will have a dual protagonist story as you chart into the vast universe in search of a new home for the humans on a dying earth on a possible inhabitable Icy planet of Persephone and it looks like the concept could appeal that has a bit of a Tomb Raider like gameplay tone and may be worth a try when this comes out sometime next year.

Now for a new unique title gimmick of there are no ghosts at the Grand that will have you become a hotel decorator an designer during the day and for the other buildings in the village and then become a hunter of ghosts at night and discover all the strange mysteries of this town and I am sure will be worth a try and learn the secrets of this too cozy town when the game drops sometime in 2026.

Then the next title on the list was with the focus of the title known as Mudang Two Hearts that will have you fighting your way through a dangerous future war torn Korea that seems to give off something that may seem like close to what may come if we are not careful and will be worth a try out when the title releases on consoles and PC in 2026

We then got a look at the all new sequel to the title of Planet of Lana that will see you take on a journey across their home planet to learn of its mysterious past through puzzles and exploration and also to survive against a robot armada and has some very visually striking visuals and tone and may be worth a try when the game releases sometime in 2026.

Then the popular anime of Solo Leveling Arise has gotten themselves their own video game to play as you take on the role of the protagonist as you help them grow their experience from their E-rank beginnings in this action RPG that I am sure will hopefully appeal to the fans of the series when it launches sometime in 2025.

Then I am sure is the new Microsoft version of Pokémon, Digimon or Palworld comes the title of Aniimo where you will be a carer and catcher of some strange and wonderful adorable looking animals and creatures that I am sure will be worth the appealing chill vibe world and adventure when the game makes a release onto the console and PC in 2026.
Then we got some more new looks at the upcoming remake of the Pro Skater 3 and 4 games that will have you return to the popular titles and trick, skate and explore the world you loved all those years agin in upscaled new graphics and will be soon ready to shred the park and grab your board with the title coming out on the 11th of July.

Then a title that had me invested from the unique striking visuals was an all new title of At Fates end that will have have you face off against some enemies with them being your family and loved ones and has some striking visuals and fast paced action and I am sure will be worth to delve into this intriguing world with this title coming out sometime in 2026.

Then they showed off some gameplay of the remake of the original Gears of War that will be jumping form their flagship console and hitting onto other consoles and PC and I think the 4K visual look amazing and I am sure will be well worth a try of the original until the release of E-Day (confirmed for next year) with this dropping real soon on August 26th.

Then after many rumours and wondering if this was real or not, it was finally revealed that we are getting a remake of Persona 4 that didn't show really much besides an announcement but from the likes of the announcement is already exciting and will be getting myself into the series myself thanks to the opinions and recommendation from a good friend and will be worth a try of this title when it releases sometime in the future.
Then the game that is as going strong as the ocean waves of the sea, we have been showing more of a new piece of DLC or season of the Sea of Thieves game with the release of the Smugglers Tide that will have you plundering, stealing and finding a way to get your bounty and treasure, not matter the casualties and will be worth delving into this adventure in due time with this season staring in August.
Then with the popularity of the series on Prime, we got the announcement of a fighting game based on the series of Invincible that will have you play as any of your favourite character from the series and comics and duke it out to see who is the best of the best of these heroes and will be worth a try out to duke it out in a battle of the superheroes when this title releases sometime in 2026.

Then we got a double serving of Final fantasy with the confirmation that Final Fantasy 7 remake coming to Xbox (as well as Switch 2 soon) with this 1st part releasing on the console sometime this winter and then we also got the conformation of Final Fantasy 16 also dropping on the console as well with that releasing on the same day as the event so will be worth to see how it plays on that console.

Then the studio of Double fine, the creators of Psychonauts and Brutal legend have an all new title of Keeper that has you play as a sentient Light house and with the assistance of a companion bird will go on a strange and wacky journey across a strange land and I always enjoy their titles and will be worth a try of this game when it releases on the consoles and PC from October 17th.

And the last of the titles from this event that was unveiled was what I initially presumed was some new Horror title but it turned out to be some cryptic tease for the next entry in the Call of Duty series with Black Ops 7 that will return to the future setting last seen in 3 and it gives me a little concern of peoples appeal for the return to the future but I am sure will be worth a try when the game releases later this fall.

And that was all that we had from the world of Xbox and I will say that it will be both this and Summer Games fest that had a bit more of an appeal with some good titles to look forward to and I am sure if my guess could be right and they usually do one around this time of year, we will be getting the last of the big 3 doing their usual direct soon so we can continue to talk on all things gaming for another week. But speaking of them.

The last of the gaming related news that we had for this week is with the focus of an upcoming announcement in the world of gaming adaptations as it was announced this week that the upcomign Live action Legend of Zelda Movie has been delayed, but only by about 5 weeks from its initial March 26th 2027 release to a now May 7th release which is probably to avoid competition with Sonic 4 and Godzilla x Kong Supernova which makes sense and give them a spot to take with Secret Wars now coming out in December that year and think it all works out. I am sure we will get some info on who will be playing the characters of this film in due time cause it is a case that their was a rumour going around that the choice for Zelda was actress Hunter Schaffer and I think that is actually a solid choice for the role and hopefully that will come about of the whole ordeal but I am sure we will learn about more on this project in due time and will update when anything else comes of this project.

But what did you think of all of these announcements from the Game showcase, is there any of these titles that you were looking forward to the most or wished they showed off at the events and do you see the film delay as a good thing and who would you cast in the film? Let me know your thoughts on all of these down below.

The loving world of Annecy Animation
So the next story for this week is with a few updates at the annual event that takes place every June with the unveiling of some updates in the world of Animation at the Annecy festival and while there was a lot of new announcements and stuff unveiled, I will be covering some of the ones that really popped out to me of announcements and I will delve into the announcements now.

So while there was nothing major to discuss from the likes of Dreamworks besides some first look footage at the upcoming Bad Guys 2 which has garnered some really strong audience reception which gives me a lot of excitement for that sequel in a months time, we have a bit of focus to us from the world of Pixar as we were given out first look image at the slate of films from 2026 with a focus of Hoppers of the beaver characters with one being the king which looks like it will be a bit of fun and may be worth to see when we get more of a new look at the project before its release in March of next year. And then they shown off a piece of concept art for the 5th Toy Story film that gives us a look at Buzz and Jessie meeting what is essentially the villain of the film of a Lilly Pad Tablet who is looking to stop Bonnie from Playing with Toys and focus on technology or socializing but may have a bit more of a sinister intent. I initially thought that maybe this is the character that Conan O'Brien is voicing but it is currently unclear but I feel with this series that it will have some appeal and may work as the proper last entry of this franchise and I am sure we will get a clear look idea by the release of the film in June of 2026.

It was not the last of the news to come from Pixar as we were actually introduced to another new film from their upcoming catalogue of an all new original known as Gatto, set in Italy and that will be directed by the director of Luca and follows a black cat named Nero who is indebted to a feline mob boss and will soon find himself forged on an unexpected friendship that may finally lead himto his purpose and while all we got is a small bit of a plot and a concept image it does have some appeal of a new original that I feel was born of them losing to Flow this year at the Oscars and making their own film with a cat. It is also supposed to be done in a mixed hand drawn animation which has me very interested to see how this will turn out by the release of the film in 2027.

Finally the last of the news based on Pixar is giving a bit of an update to another project that was announced just last year an that is of course with the 3rd Incredibles film. Now this is only a little small update to come from the event but it is to do with the announcment of a director change it was announced that Elemental director of Peter Sohn will be taking the reigns of directing this 3rd Hero outing. Now the original duology director of Brad Bird is still involved with the project as he will still be writing and producing the project and mainly for the reason of not directing is due to him being busy with some other directing duty projects at the same time. Now I think the choice of Sohn is a good one as his last film of Elemental was actually a great film to me personally and I feel he will give respect and care of working with Bird to make it a really great 3rd follow up. Now at the moment there is no release date of the 3rd film yet but once we hear anything we will update in a later episode.

The last 2 bit that I will talk on from Annecy of news to talk on is with some new updates of some projects coming to us from the world of TV and Streaming and the first is the confirmed planned new Spin off based on the world of the Crystal Gems and the character of Steven Universe as we have the unveiling of a new Series known as Lars of the Stars that will focus on Lars and the Off colour gems head off on a journey as space pirates as they smuggle contraband, evading authorities and discover the dark secrets of the fallen Gem Empire and the concept sounds very interesting and gives me a vibe of being the closest we'll get for the time being of a Starlight Brigade animated series until someone gives TWRP that chance to make the music video a reality but the idea of a spin off sounds cool as there is plenty of opportunities to come from this universe and I am sure will be worth a check out when it launches on Prime video sometime soon.

And the last one in focus I want to talk on is one of my favourite animated series of recent memory as we got some new info on Smiling Friends. During a special Panel hosted by the creators of Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel, we got the confirmation that 1, season 3 will be releasing this year with the new season premiering this fall and 2 that the show has been given the renewal for another 2 seasons already, bringing the total for the time being to 5 seasons of this wacky show. Now I am so happy to hear this as I love this little crazy odd ball of a series birth from these creators minds and I hope it will be a continued consistency of wacky adventures for Pim, Charlie, Glep, Alan and Mr Boss and I am looking forward to this new season later this year and the other 2 on the way and you best your sweet cans of Cream corn that I will be doing a full in depth review of the first 2 seasons real soon similar to my one on Hazbin Hotel so look forward to that.

Now I have probably missed a bit from Annecy and I do apologize on that but if there is anything big that I may have missed and want me to talk on, let me know down below and I will talk on it in a separate video or even in the next episode. But for now what do you think of these announcements from Annecy and is there any in particular that you are really looking forward to the most? Let me know what you think of it all down below

More Wizards, a new Space villain, a music event on stage and a choice made to meet some inlaws instead.
now these last 2 I will keep more brief and this first one is going to give a few brief updates of some casting news and one bit of a rework of a film into a show and I will try and fly through all of these new discussion real quick so lets get into it.

SO first I will give a quick rundown of this cast announcement as we have more from yet again the unnecessary tv adaptation of Harry Potter as on Monday this week we got the unveiling of 9 new cast members for the series that will consist of IT Crowd Star of Katherine Parkinson will portray Molly Weasley, new comer Lox Pratt will play Draco Malfoy, Emma and Ripley star Johnny Flynn will play Draco's father Lucius Malfoy, then a selection of newcomers were unveiled with Leo Earley playing Seamus Finnegan, Alessia Leoni will portray Parvati Patil and Sienna Moosah will play Lavender Brown. Last of the cast unveiled was A small light actress Bel Powley play Petunia Dursley, Witchfinder actor Daniel Rigby will play Uncle Vernon and lastly Dr Foster actor Bertie Carvel will play the minster of magic of Cornelius Fudge. Now of course I am sure they are all great actors and hope that all the kids will be protected from the sudden new fame but again it is always a case I will say that this remake is unnecessary and many outlets are starting to say a similar tone or bring up the discussion about it as well but WB is going to help fund a spiteful womans pockets even more. I Guess we will see how this will all turn out as it seems they have started to have sets coming together for the start of shooting but I guess we'll see the appeal when the series releases in 2026.

Now on the likes of another franchise with some casting news to come to us was one that I meant to bring up the last week or 2 but keep forgetting to mention but we have gotten a new casting addition to a galaxy far far away as we have a new addition to the Star Wars Starfighter film from Shawn Levy and Starring Ryan Gosling as it was announced that X trilogy and Odyssey star Mia Goth has been cast in this upcoming film and it has also been discussed that she may be playing the villain of this film which may be a real winner here and will let her go full crazy like in the X trilogy (especially in Pearl). Now I believe this role was initially been offered to recent Oscar winner Mikey Madison before she decided to opt out but I feel with either option is a strong choice overall. Now we have no idea on who she may be playing or how she will tie into this new plot but I am sure we will get some idea about the project in due time by the time of the films release in 2027.

Now non casting news for this week is with one that is apparently going from a film to a planned new format of the film itself. Now if you may remember back in summer 2020, there was a film that was released on Netflix that starred Will Ferrell and Rachael McAdams that was based on a fictional story based on the year contest of Eurovision with the story of Fire Saga that was a modestly recieved film and was well worth a chuckle in those uncertain times ( and made up for no Eurovision that year... even just before it now being very controversial and full of drama). Well it seem that Ferrell and his longtime SNL friend of Harper are looking to take this film from screen to stage and turn this project into a musical on Broadway and honestly I am all for seeing this make a leap to that format and would be down to see this adaptation on a stage production. Now at the moment it seems to be in some form of early stages but I will keep an eye on this project when it may get further into develop and will update if anything new comes along soon.

Lastly there was a discussion of one of the castings for a project that was possibly initially confirmed but has been changed and that is with the planned live action remake of the Disney film of Hercules. Now one of the characters that we know that is a part of this project was with the love interest for the film and that is the character of Megara who in the original was played by Susan Egan (who was the voice of Rose Quartz in SU) and there was much discussion as to who should portray the character in the live action take and it seems to be the case that one that everyone keeps pushing to happen is with the musician and Oscar Nominee of Ariana Grande.... well it seems to almost have happened. According to some insider sources, she was initially offered the role of Megara but she has since turned it down and instead preferred to take on a role in the upcoming 4th Meet the Parent film with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro and a reasoning was that she did not want to be type casted in roles that were musicals (which is a bit counter intuitive given she is a musician and mainly currently is casted in musical). Now personally I feel you could do better cause just because she performed the characters song during some Disney Music Livestreams back during the pandemic everyone made the choice there and then but I feel if anyone that would fit better is her victorious co-star of Elizabeth Gilles for the role but the question of who will be portraying the character or anyone else is anyones guess (and the likes if these remakes are still happening at Disney but going off Lilo and Stitch's box office, its probably likely) and once we hear any word on this project, I will update in a later video.

But what do you think of all of these casting announcement, rumours and reworking of projects for new formats and is there any that you are the most excited about? Let me know you opinions below and we can talk on them there.

A lawsuit outcome that is a little bit all over the place.
Lastly I will end this episode on a quick update to a story I initially talked on at the end of last year that has gotten quite a big update since that initial situation. So to get you up to speed, last August came the release of a film known as It ends with us, a film that was based on a controversial 2016 novel that was a love story that had a lot of themes of domestic abuse that released to modest to mixed reception that at first seemed to not cause issues and many just seen the case that the tone between the director discussing the film and the big star of Blake Lively. Fast forward to about a week before Christmas when it was announced that Blake had submitted a complaint toward Baldoni for some form of smear campaign against her in the form of sexual harassment on the set of that film and the marketing with some bits of text messages and documentation. A short while later, Blake then sued properly for Sexual Harassment on December 31st of damages that started 250 million. Baldoni then soon counter sued for 400 million that then led to a whole mess of evidence showing both in the wrong, with a lot more toward Lively contradicting her own words and statements, and even led to the likes of Ryan Reynolds getting roped into the lawsuit and at one point even Taylor Swift was as well, due to her being close friends with the Hollywood couple but was quickly out of the lawsuit as she was not majorly involved at all (though this seems to have started back up again of them trying to get this lawsuit back up and running and going after Swift's texts) and this was the situation for the better part of 6 months. This all came to a head just on Monday this week where it was announced that the judge has dismissed Baldoni's Lawsuit claiming that her claims of Sexual harassment were legally protected and therefore immune from suit. Now this whole thing is a lot and in all sense I wonder if I explained everything properly and wonder what will come from this whole ordeal drama. There is a part of me that both of them are in the wrong and there is a lot of damning evidence that show that she seems to have tried to take the full control and destroy the film to get her way but in this case I am not taking any side on this as it is messy and I do not have the full picture on this at all. I will maybe look into it at a later date but for the moment once I hear anything new or something changes I will try and update in a later episode or I can give a full video going through everything as more of a neutral grounded focus but we will see.

But what do you make of all of this lawsuit drama, do you feel the dismissal was a good thing or was it letting the one causing the most issues get away with it all and which side are you on in all of this? :et me know your choices on it all down below.

And now with all of that this ends another episode of Weird Mind News room and I do hope that you enjoyed this rambles for another week. Let me know yout thoughts on everything discussed down below and as always I hope you all stay being wonderful people and have a great day everyday and I will see you all in the next episode :)

Take Care, keep being you, signing off
Sam H :)
